Abstract

In the current political and legal environment, digitization serves as the key catalyst for societal and state advancement. Improvement in digital technology affects both technological advancements and the formation of new social relations throughout all sectors of society, including public administration. Information and communication technologies may enhance social inequalities regarding citizens’ involvement into public governance. Thus, researching digital reality, digital rights, digital identity profiles, public and legal digital spaces, which are not fully addressed by universally accepted human rights protection mechanisms and implementation tools, is crucial. The research objective was to analyze the implementation practices and boundaries of citizens’ political rights in the public-law space in conditions of digitalization. The authors conclude that a new phenomenon of public policy, i. e. the citizens’ digital political rights, was formed. The authors also studied the questions of their essential characteristics and content, and the influence of the digital identification of a person on the possibilities to exercise digital political rights in digital public law space.
